Job summary

Lauterbach & Amen in Vernon Hills, IL seeks a Financial Accountant to maintain client financial operations, perform GL entries, AP/AR, payroll, and help ensure compliance. You will reconcile bank statements, prepare financial statements, and assist with government reports.

This full-time, in-person role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 0–3 years of accounting experience; CPA is a plus. Competitive compensation and starting PTO support growth and client service excellence.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
0–3 years of general accounting experience required; CPA preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail essential.
Proactive, self-motivated with ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

General Ledger Management: Prepare accurate and timely general ledger entries for clients.
Core Financial Operations: Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Reconciliation and Reporting: Perform bank reconciliations and assist with financial statements.
Regulatory Compliance: Prepare government reports and ensure timely compliance.
Client Support & Payroll: Advise clients on accounting matters and handle payroll processing.
