Job summary

Wallace Plese + Dreher (WP+D) seeks a Staff Accountant for our Client Advisory Services team in Chandler/Scottsdale. The hybrid role supports accounting for diverse clients, with emphasis on accuracy and timely reporting.

Responsibilities include AP/AR processing, month-end close, reconciliations, 1099 handling, and software integrations. A degree in accounting and 2–3 years of GAAP experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• 2-3 years of accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience with month-end close and supporting schedules.
• Ability to identify discrepancies and research variances.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop and Online.
• Knowledge of cloud-based technologies (BILL, Sage Intacct).
• Advanced Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong client-service and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Review financial information and documents.
• Assist in processing Form 1099s for year-end.
• Diagnose and support accounting software integration tools.
• Develop efficiencies and automation where applicable.
