Confidential Employer seeks a Staff Accountant to support the CFO and Controller in Duluth, GA. The role covers general ledger activity, service contract accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting in a dynamic HVAC and mechanical contracting environment.

Ideal candidates are organized, analytical, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting, with strong Excel/Power BI skills and ERP experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience (service or construction industry preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Excel; Power BI preferred.
• Experience with COINS ERP+ or other ERP systems preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities.
• Flexibility to occasionally work outside normal hours and travel infrequently as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries in the general ledger and job cost system.
• Perform accounting for Service Contract & Repair operations and administer Service Contract Commissions.
• Manage intercompany accounting and reporting.
• Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Assist with month-end close and financial statement preparation.
• Prepare and distribute monthly financial statements and gross profit analyses.
• Provide monthly financial performance analysis compared to budget and forecast.
• Analyze spending trends and support cost-control initiatives.
• Assist with internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
• Respond to financial inquiries from leadership and administrative teams.
