Club Brands, based in St. Peters, MO, is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team. The role supports monthly accounting processes and the development of business intelligence dashboards used by leadership to monitor performance and guide decisions.

The ideal candidate combines a strong accounting foundation with an interest in data analytics, reporting, and BI. A 4-year degree is required, and experience with Power BI is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and fundamental accounting processes.
• Experience preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze large datasets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record monthly journal entries.
• Record and maintain monthly expense schedules, recurring transactions, and accruals.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and research reconciling items.
• Record monthly refunds and related transactions.
• Prepare merchant statement entries and reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist with account analysis and research unusual or unexpected activity.
• Build, maintain, and enhance BI dashboards and reports for leadership.
• Transform data into KPIs, trends, and performance metrics.
• Develop dashboards by location, department, revenue stream, and other segments.
• Validate data in BI reports for accuracy.
• Identify opportunities to automate recurring reports.
• Maintain dashboards and troubleshoot discrepancies.
• Translate reporting needs into dashboards and visualizations.
• Develop standardized KPI definitions and reporting methodologies.
• Support ad hoc financial and operational analysis.
• Prepare and maintain daily/weekly/monthly KPI reporting and organization-wide scorecard.
