Job summary

Starwood Hotels is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the Finance and Accounting team in monitoring AR, EOM entries, and P&L closings. You will audit checks, petty cash, and adjustments daily, distributing reports to the Guidance Team.

Daily consolidated deposits and invoice processing support are part of the role. We seek 2-4 years of experience, a post-secondary diploma, and a flexible team player ready to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.

Qualifications

• Passionate about numbers and 2-4 years of experience in a similar function.
• A post-secondary diploma or degree would be a plus.
• Is flexible and willing to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
• A team player, hard worker, multi-tasker and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Oversee AR and P&L closings, and end-of-month entries.
• Audit exec checks, petty cash, and adjustment reports daily.
• Prepare daily consolidated deposits of cash from outlets and Front Desk.
• Assist with invoice processing and match PO’s to invoices for processing.
• Maintain strong accounting controls and safeguard assets.
