The Staff Accountant role supports the Accounting Department with AP, reconciliations, driver pay, journal entries, and financial reporting, serving as backup for Credit and Collections. A strong attention to detail and professional communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Minimum of two years in accounting functions.
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and Outlook; strong data entry and reconciliation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve variances.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate transactions.
• Calculate and process driver pay weekly.
• Prepare and post recurring and adjusting journal entries.
• Assist with monthly close and meeting deadlines.
• Support with fluctuations in account balances and results.
• Review general ledger for accuracy and compliance.
• Own accounts payable processes and vendor payments.
• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Handle confidential information with discretion.
• Perform additional accounting duties as assigned.
• Serve as backup to Credit and Collections.
