AngelList is seeking a Staff Accountant for AP & Procurement to own the procure-to-pay process across multiple entities, applying accounting judgment to invoices, managing vendors and POs, and supporting month-end close.

This role emphasizes understanding the accounting behind transactions, making independent decisions, and building scalable processes through automation while maintaining strong controls.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience with meaningful ownership of accounts payable at volume.
• Ability to defend accounting decisions and explain classifications, accruals and assets.
• Hands-on NetSuite and Ramp experience, ideally in a multi-subsidiary environment.
• Proven track record of improving processes with automation.
• Ability to explain coding and rejected expenses to non-finance teammates.
• High attention to detail and risk awareness.

Responsibilities

• Own AP, code invoices with judgment across multiple entities and drive 1099 process.
• Run procurement end to end: POs, vendor onboarding, process improvements.
• Automate for scale: integrate Ramp and NetSuite to reduce manual work while preserving controls.
• Support month-end close: AP intercompany activity, consolidation tasks, audit-ready schedules.
