Job summary

RLS LLC, located in Hazelwood, MO, is seeking a Staff Accountant to primarily support the Accounts Payable function and provide limited AR assistance. The role requires attention to detail, coordination with vendors, and timely processing of invoices and payments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for Accounts Payable experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and code them according to company policy.
• Prepare vendor payments and assist with payment runs.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice issues.
• Maintain AP records and supporting files for audits.
• Monitor AP aging and ensure timely follow-up.
• Assist with month-end close activities and AP accruals.
• Support cash flow forecasting with accurate payment timing.
• Provide backup for AR activities as needed.
• Collaborate with teams to improve AP processes and controls.
