Mid-Florida Endodontics (MFE) is seeking a Staff Accountant to support accounts payable, the general ledger, and the monthly close. You will work directly with the Controller across multi‑entity operations in Florida, gaining hands-on experience in a growing dental specialty group.

The role is hybrid in Tampa Bay and offers a path to build expertise in AP, GL, and month‑end processes while ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience including accounts payable.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP and month-end close processes.
• Experience with QuickBooks and reconciliations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor bills in Ramp Bill Pay across clinics and run weekly payments.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and prepaid schedules for close.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, Ramp, and balance sheet accounts monthly.
• Support 1099 reporting and vendor record maintenance.
• Assist with audit preparation and other special projects.

Staff Accountant (AP/GL) Mid-Florida EndodonticsAbout the role

Mid-Florida Endodontics (MFE) is a growing, multi-location endodontic specialty group in Florida. We are hiring a Staff Accountant to support accounts payable, the general ledger, and the monthly close. You will work directly with the Controller and gain hands‑on exposure to multi‑entity accounting.

• Reports to: Controller
• Location: Tampa Bay, FL (hybrid)
• Type: Full-time, permanent
• Compensation: $50,000 to $60,000 base salary

What you will do

• Process vendor bills in Ramp Bill Pay across all clinics: review coding, route approvals, and run the weekly payment cycle
• Complete the Bill Pay rollout: move remaining vendors off ACH and check, collect W-9s, and set up coding defaults and approval workflows
• Maintain vendor records and support 1099 reporting
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and prepaid schedules for month‑end and year‑end close
• Reconcile bank, credit card, Ramp, and balance sheet accounts each month
• Review and code Ramp card transactions and employee expense reimbursements in line with company policy
• Assist with reconciling practice management system deposits to the bank
• Assist with audit preparation and support the Controller on special projects

What you will bring

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of accounting experience, including accounts payable
• Working knowledge of GAAP, reconciliations, and journal entries
• Experience with QuickBooks
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Detail‑oriented and organized, with the ability to meet weekly and monthly deadlines

Preferred

• Experience with Ramp, Bill.com, or a similar AP platform
• Multi‑entity or multi‑location experience, ideally in healthcare or dental
• Comfort using AI tools to speed up routine work
