Job summary

MPI, a multi-million-dollar manufacturing organization near Woodridge, Illinois, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its growing team. The role reports to the Accounting Manager and offers exposure to senior leadership and cross-functional collaboration with C-suite executives.

The Staff Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, AR/AP, cash flow monitoring, treasury-related functions, and financial reporting in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or credentials are a plus.
• 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Prior experience within a manufacturing environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Accounting Manager on day to day accounting functions.
• Support the month end process.
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities.
• Review AR and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Review the balance sheet and P&L to ensure accounts are accurate and properly classified.
• Monitor cash flow and treasury needs to ensure sufficient cash is available.
• Perform account reconciliations and assist with journal entries.
• Handle ad hoc accounting projects and analysis as needed.
• Provide general support across the accounting function.
