We’re looking for a part‑time Accountant who shares our love for both numbers and horses and can reconcile QuickBooks as easily as she or he can understand a horse show schedule.

Responsibilities

• Manage bookkeeping for multiple equine clients in QuickBooks Online
• Prepare and file business and individual tax returns
• Review and adjust client books for year‑end readiness
• Communicate directly with clients to explain financial results
• Support the development of HoofBooks SOPs and client onboarding systems
• Contribute ideas to improve efficiency and reporting

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting, tax preparation, or bookkeeping (5+ years preferred)
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Excel
• Strong understanding of tax filing for small businesses
• Excellent communication and attention to detail
• Bonus: background in or passion for the horse industry
