Who you are:
The Staff Accountant will manage various aspects of general accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, oversight and support for international locations, financial reporting, and financial analysis in a multi-currency reporting environment.
What you’ll do:
- Review and prepare daily wire payment requests.
- Provide support and oversight to international locations.
- Provide training to finance staff at international sites to ensure CIEE policies and best practices are followed.
- Assist with international location internal control evaluations and audits.
- Meet monthly close deadlines to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Weekly processing of employee expense reimbursements in Concur.
- Bank reconciliations in both USD and foreign currencies.
- Balance sheet account reconciliations; analyze accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare documentation and support the annual audit process.
- Backup and support for accounts payable specialist as needed.
- Other projects as assigned.
What you’ll bring:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- BS in Accounting or equivalent experience required.
- Strong understanding of accounting practices and GAAP.
- Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and resolve variances.
- ERP financial software experience required, NetSuite experience a plus.
- Intermediate Excel skills, including VLookups and Pivot Tables.
- Ability to work independently, research, and problem-solve.
- Excellent attention to detail is required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, management, and external parties from a variety of backgrounds.
