Job summary

General Datatech, LP is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting across the general ledger, AR, AP, cash flow, and related areas. The role emphasizes accuracy, timely reporting, and cross-functional collaboration to drive business outcomes.

You will participate in the month-end close, prepare journal entries, run P&L analyses, and maintain reconciliations while supporting audits and ad hoc analyses for management and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the month end close process.
• Prepare and park journal entries for revenue, COGS, prepaids, and cash.
• Prepare P&L analysis monthly for management review.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support audits and prepare information for financial, tax, and bank audits.
• Produce reporting package (P&L and KPIs) for upper management.
• Assist with ad hoc reporting and cross-functional projects.
• Drive process and tool standardization across the company.
• Provide accounting support as needed.

Job Summary: The Staff Accountant role will facilitate the day-to-day accounting functions in the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cashflow/banking, and other accounting areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the month end close process.
• Prepare and park journal entries related to revenue, COGS, prepaids, and cash.
• Prepare P&L analysis monthly to be reviewed by management and Operations team.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and analysis.
• Preparation of information to support the financial, tax and bank audits.
• Prepare reporting package (P&L and KPI's) for upper management.
• Assist in the completion of special projects/ad hoc reporting and analysis.
• Drive process and tool standardization across the company
• Ad Hoc assistance within accounting as needed to support the business.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Financial Analysis and reporting experience preferred.
• Experience in accounting close and consolidation processes preferred.
• Research and reconciliation skills required.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Excel and Microsoft Office Suite required.
• SAP experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience with Accounts Receivables and/or Accounts Payable is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills required.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while working accurately and proficiently.
• Ability to work well with individuals at all levels inside and outside of the organization.
• Strong communications skills (written and verbal).
• Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Team player who thrives in a small, cross-functional team.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in accounting required, path to CPA desired but not required
