Our mission centers on \"meeting individual needs through innovative care solutions,\" and we serve people across multiple counties in northeast Kansas.**Staff Accountant**A Staff Accountant at Midland Care Connection is responsible for maintaining accurate and reliable financial information to support the organization’s financial decision-making. The role involves preparing monthly journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, analyzing revenue and expenses, investigating financial variances, and ensuring transactions are properly documented and recorded according to GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local requirements. The Staff Accountant also reviews and reconciles Medicare, Medicaid, and private-pay payments, compares aging reports from the electronic medical record system with the accounting system, and assists with claim processing to ensure accurate and timely payments. In addition, the position supports financial reporting and projects, maintains financial spreadsheets, responds to financial questions, and works closely with staff across departments.
