Jobot is seeking a Staff Accountant in Austin, TX for a rapidly growing healthcare company. The role focuses on month-end and year-end closes and various accounting duties in a hybrid work setting.

You will support payroll entries, journal entries, reconciliations, and audits, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data. A Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance and 1–3 years of experience are preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience (public accounting or corporate).
• Strong general ledger accounting and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assist month-end close and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Record payroll journal entries and reconcile to cash.
• Prepare journal entries, including accruals and adjustments.
• Perform credit card reconciliations and proper coding.
• Complete cash reconciliations for bank and cash clearing.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances.
• Support audits with documentation and schedules.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for accurate data.

Job Details

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our thriving healthcare organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting month-end and year-end closes, and performing various other accounting duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and support the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
• Record all payroll-related journal entries and confirm reconciliation to cash
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, reclasses, and adjustments
• Perform credit card reconciliations, reviewing transactions for accuracy and proper coding
• Complete cash-related reconciliations, including bank accounts and cash clearing accounts
• Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts and investigate and resolve variances
• Support internal and external audit requests by preparing documentation and schedulesMaintain accurate accounting records and supporting schedules
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1-3 years of accounting experience (public accounting or corporate experience preferred)
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPS preferred)
• Experience with ERP systems
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 per year
