Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Automotive dealership accounting experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers and records.

Staff AccountantWilson Auto FamilyStillwater, OklahomaPosition OverviewWilson Auto Family is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This position plays an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting day-to-day dealership accounting functions, and helping ensure transactions are processed accurately and on time.We’re looking for someone who is organized, comfortable working with numbers and deadlines, and willing to take ownership of their responsibilities while working closely with the rest of the office team.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with daily and monthly dealership accounting functionsPrepare and post journal entries and account adjustmentsReconcile general ledger accounts and research discrepanciesAssist with bank and balance sheet reconciliationsReview accounting schedules and resolve outstanding itemsProcess and reconcile accounts payable and receivable activityAssist with vehicle sales accounting and deal-related documentationReview invoices, statements, and supporting documentation for accuracyAssist with month-end closing processesMaintain organized and accurate accounting recordsHelp prepare reports and supporting documentation for managementAssist with audits and other accounting information requestsWork with dealership departments to research and correct accounting issuesFollow established internal controls and accounting proceduresProvide additional accounting and administrative support as neededQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, but not requiredAutomotive dealership accounting experience is a plusStrong attention to detail and accuracyGood organizational and time-management skillsAbility to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlinesStrong Excel and general computer skillsAbility to identify discrepancies and follow through until they are resolvedProfessional communication skillsAbility to handle confidential financial information appropriatelyDependable, accountable, and willing to work as part of a teamWhat We’re Looking ForThe right person for this role is someone who doesn't simply process transactions.
