Job summary

CFS in Stamford, CT is seeking an Accountant to support financial reporting across multiple entities in a hybrid role. You will participate in monthly close, journal entries, reconciliations, and cross-functional collaboration to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record journal entries accurately and on time.
• Assist with cash activity tracking, bank reconciliations, and reporting.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and support intercompany reconciliation processes.
• Support monthly close activities in adherence to reporting deadlines.
• Assist in preparing financial schedules, reports, and P&L analyses with commentary.
• Assist with accounts receivable and remittance tracking.
• Communicate issues and resolution status to Finance leadership.
• Contribute within a team environment while progressively taking on increased responsibilities.

The Role

As an Accountant, you'll support accurate financial reporting and day-to-day operational accounting across assigned business entities. You'll play an active role in the monthly close cycle, balance sheet reconciliations, cash reporting, and financial schedule preparation — all while partnering with cross-functional teams and contributing to ongoing process improvements.
