Job summary

TACO Metals in Sparta, TN is seeking a Staff Accountant to support month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will prepare journal entries, manage balance sheet integrity, assist with tax filings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes while maintaining strict confidentiality and precision.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 3+ years accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong experience with ERP systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and posting journal entries during the month-end close.
  • Reconciling balance sheet accounts and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Managing daily bank reconciliations, cash receipts, and cash postings.
  • Preparing and filing monthly sales tax returns.
  • Creating and distributing sales commission and royalty reports.
  • Processing and posting Concur transactions and related reporting.
  • Assisting the Controller with corporate reporting and special financial projects.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to improve processes and solve problems proactively.
  • Supporting continuous improvement through training and professional development.

What You’ll Do

As our Accountant, you’ll play a key role in supporting day-to-day accounting functions and month-end close activities. Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and posting journal entries during the month-end close
