The Staff Accountant supports key accounting activities including journal entries, reconciliations, month-end closing, WIP analysis, and financial reporting. The role helps maintain accurate financial records, assists with inventory-and cash-related tasks, and provides backup support to AP, payroll, and contract administration. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and adjustments.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Inventory of receiving, shipping, and returned material from warehouse.
• Research and resolve discrepancies or unusual variances.
• Support the month-end close process and assist with financial reporting needs/deadlines.
• Assist with monthly Work In Process (WIP) calculation and analysis.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records and support ongoing process improvements.
• Work with management team on additional business information reports as needed.
• Daily cash receipt postings and reconciliations.
• Assist with various external audits gathering required documentation.
• Sales, Use, and other tax filings.
• Assist in payroll, accounts payable, and the contract administrators when needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 0 – 5 years of related experience.
• Experience with Acumatica a plus.
• Ability to work independently and be detail oriented.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
