Job summary

GroundSystems is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, support month-end close, and help drive day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring GAAP compliance. You will prepare reports, reconcile bank statements and ledgers, oversee accounts payable/receivable, assist budgeting, and support audits.

A Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance and 1–3 years of experience are preferred; proficiency with Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is

Why this role matters

You will be a key member of our finance and accounting team, working closely with the VP of Administration & Accounting. Your work will help ensure our financial records are reliable, month-end and year-end close processes stay on track, and leaders have the information they need to make sound decisions. You will also manage the Accounting & Office Administrator.

What you will do

Work environment and physical requirements

This position works in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment, including computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The noise level is typically minimal to moderate.

While performing this role, the team member may be required to sit, walk, stand for up to seven hours at a time, use hands to handle objects, reach, balance, stoop, talk, and hear.
