MaineHealth is seeking a Staff Accountant to support our Mountain Region in a remote role. You will manage general ledger accounts, prepare journal entries, post cash deposits, and assist with month-end closings while working independently within a small, collaborative team.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, 1 year of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and excellent communication and confidentiality.

Qualificações

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of experience preferred in the case of an Accounting or Finance degree. If degree is not in accounting or finance, 1 year of accounting experience is required.
• Strong oral, written and organizational skills.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (preferred).
• Ability to work across departments and with varying levels of management. Maintain confidentiality.
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.

MaineHealth is looking for a Staff Accountant to support our Mountain Region in a remote role that's a great fit for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work while being part of a small, collaborative team.

In this role, you'll help keep our financial operations running smoothly by managing general ledger accounts, preparing journal entries, posting cash deposits, completing month-end closing activities, and analyzing financial data. You'll work across departments, research discrepancies, and help ensure financial information is accurate and compliant with accounting standards.

We're looking for someone who's resourceful, detail-oriented, and comfortable hitting the ground running. You'll need to be a strong problem-solver who enjoys researching issues, finding answers, and working independently without a lot of day-to-day direction. Summary:

The Staff Accountant role applies principles of accounting and statistical analysis in order to maintain control and accountability in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. This role monitors and maintains control of various general ledger accounts, prepares journal entries and detailed reports and analyses reflecting financial status and activities.

The pay range for this position is $61,256.00to $82,867.20per year.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
