SES is partnering with a leading multi-location organization to identify a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. This is an opportunity for an accounting professional to take ownership of assigned locations and contribute to accurate, timely financial reporting.

What You Will Be Working On
- Manage monthly accounting and closing activities for assigned locations.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, corrections, reclassifications, and other month-end adjustments.
- Reconcile bank, cash, inventory, prepaid, accrued expense, and intercompany accounts.
- Review sales, fuel and merchandise margins, expenses, inventory, and variances.
- Research and resolve discrepancies involving deposits, transactions, documentation, and expenses.Prepare reports, variance explanations, and assigned tax filings.
- Support fixed asset accounting, audits, 1099 reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
What Type of Person Will Be Successful
- 3-5 years of accounting experience with strong accounting fundamentals.
- Strong understanding of journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close.
- Highly detail-oriented and comfortable working with a high volume of transactions.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting/ERP systems; QuickBooks experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
