Job summary

Rite of Passage, at Canyon State Academy in Queen Creek, AZ, seeks a Staff Accountant to join our mission-driven team. You will produce, oversee, and analyze financial information and taxes for Rite of Passage, Inc and related entities.

Starting pay is $80,000 per year with benefits including medical, dental, vision, company-paid life insurance within 90 days, 401k match up to 6%, and PTO accrual. Schedule is Monday–Friday, standard business hours.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting or related field required.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with month-end close.
• Knowledge of Great Plains preferred.
• Proficient Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Produce, oversee, and analyze all financial information and filings for Rite of Passage entities.
• Manage taxes and other filings as assigned.
• Support non-profit school accounting as needed.

Pay: Starting $80,000 a year

What you will do

As a Staff Accountant you will be responsible for producing, overseeing, and analyzing all necessary financial information and taxes and other filings related to Rite of Passage, Inc, or Rite of Passage ATCS as assigned and Non-Profit schools, if assigned.

To be considered you should

• Degree in accounting or related field Required
• Previous experience maintaining a general ledger required
• Previous experience with month-end financial close required
• 3-5 years of accounting experience and knowledge
• Knowledge of Great Plains preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
• Good interpersonal skills including the ability to interview potential employees if required
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test
• Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.

Schedule

Monday - Friday ~ 8:00am - 5:00pm ~ 1 hour break
