Staff Accountant Ready to put your accounting experience to work right away? We have an immediate opportunity, a quick interview process, and a client ready to make a decision.

One of our long‑standing clients in the Portland area needs a Staff Accountant to join a collaborative accounting team on a temporary basis. You will step into meaningful work, support a busy team, and have the flexibility of a hybrid schedule.

This position offers a hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two days working remotely.

Responsibilities

In this position, you will assist with:

• Preparing and posting journal entries
• Completing account reconciliations
• Researching transactions and resolving discrepancies
• Supporting month‑end close
• Preparing accounting reports and supporting documentation
• Working within Excel and an ERP system
• Assisting with additional accounting projects as needed

Team Environment

You will join a supportive, easygoing team that communicates well and helps one another. The manager is flexible and approachable and will be available when you need direction, while giving you room to take ownership of your work.

Qualifications

To be considered for this Staff Accountant opportunity, you should have:

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• At least two years of hands‑on accounting experience
• Experience with journal entries and reconciliations
• Working knowledge of GAAP
• Basic Excel and ERP system skills
