What You’ll Actually Do
- Accounts Receivable Management: Oversee the complete accounts receivable cycle, including invoice review, collections, cash application, and account reconciliations.
- Customer Relations: Address billing discrepancies promptly and respond to customer inquiries to maintain accurate accounts.
- Financial Monitoring: Monitor accounts receivable aging and collaborate with the Treasury department on collection efforts.
- Accounting Support: Assist in month-end closing, prepare and post journal entries, and perform account reconciliations.
- Audit & Analysis: Support annual financial audits and other assigned projects, and analyze financial results to explain variances.
The Must-Haves
- Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field is required. This is an early-career accounting role, foundational to the financial operations of a growing market research and analytics company.
- Experience: Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, gained in a growth-oriented business setting. Demonstrated proficiency across the full spectrum of accounts receivable, including bookkeeping, general ledger accounting, and comprehensive month-end close processes, is essential. Specific experience reviewing payroll reports and transaction bookings for APAC entities is also valued.
- Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for interacting with customers and internal teams. A high attention to detail and accuracy is paramount for financial record-keeping. Candidates must possess a strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and intermediate Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Bonus: Prior experience using NetSuite accounting software and Salesforce CRM will be considered a significant advantage for this role.
