Job summary

Chief of Staff Kc in Kansas City area is seeking a Staff Accountant for in-office work in Overland Park / Olathe. A public accounting background or transition to industry is welcomed, with strong month-end close, GL maintenance, and cost accounting experience valued.

You will handle month-end close, AR, GL, and internal controls, plus provide internal reporting and support audits. Salary ranges from $60,000 to $80,000 based on experience, with benefits included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience required.
• Public accounting background is a strong plus.
• Solid month-end close and GL skills are expected.
• Self-motivated — able to work with minimal supervision.
• Manufacturing or cost accounting experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Month-end close — journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Accounts receivable — invoicing, cash application, and collections follow-up.
• General ledger maintenance and variance resolution.
• Audit support and preparation of supporting schedules.
• Financial reporting and analysis for internal stakeholders.
