Job summary

Grand View Lodge is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to manage the full receivables cycle, post receipts, and resolve discrepancies. You will maintain accurate invoice records, prepare reports, and support the accounting team to keep numbers clean and processes running smoothly behind the scenes.

The role requires hospitality or resort accounting experience, advanced Excel skills, and a strong emphasis on accuracy and confidentiality within a busy resort environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting plus relevant experience could be accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• Hospitality or resort accounting experience is highly preferred.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and ability to make accurate calculations; proficiency with 10-key and PC required.
• Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet applications, and email.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, accuracy is non-negotiable in this role.
• Proven ability to manage time well, meet deadlines, and work flexible hours as needed.
• Strong problem-solving skills and composure under pressure; you find solutions and stay calm when it's busy.

Responsibilities

• Secure revenue by verifying and posting receipts accurately and in a timely manner.
• Identify and resolve account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, customers, and internal departments.
• Summarize receivables by maintaining invoice accounts and coordinating monthly transfers to the receivable account.
• Verify totals and prepare reports ensuring accuracy at every step.
• Analyze invoice and expense reports and record entries in accordance with established procedures.
• Review data for Managed Property Accounting for accuracy and integrity.
• Prepare Monthly Statements for Managed Property unit owners.
• Member monthly billing.
• Protect company and guest confidentiality by handling all financial information with discretion and integrity.
• Cross-training with other team members
• Support the Accounting team with additional duties as assigned.
