Atlantic Group is seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to play a vital role in our client's company's accounting operations and financial well-being. As a Staff Accountant, you will prepare journal entries, account reconciliation, maintain the general ledger, and contribute to the monthly financial close process. Compensation: $95,000.00 – $150,000.00 + bonus

Location: New York City

Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant include:

• Prepare detailed journal entries for accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, inventory, and fixed assets
• Perform meticulous reconciliation of bank statements and credit card statements
• Analyze revenue and expense accounts for any anomalies
• Compile schedules and documentation for external audits
• Review purchase orders for proper approval and coding
• Process bi-weekly payroll using ADP
• Ensure accurate recording of inventory counts
• Assist in financial statement preparation and analysis
• Drive process improvements through automation and system integration
• Conduct variance analysis on budgets versus actuals
• Handle ad-hoc financial analyses and special projects as required

Qualifications of the Staff Accountant include:
