BroadRiver Asset Management, L.P. is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the Accounting team in New York City.

The role reports to the Firm's Controller and collaborates with investment, technology, and operations teams to maintain accurate financial records. Key duties include reconciliations, NAV closings, and preparation of financial statements, along with daily fund operations and coordination with external accounting firms.

Responsibilities

• Operation maintenance of Investment Funds (capital calls, distributions and fund expenses).
• Assist internal teams on Fund deliverables.
• Interact with external accounting firms, fund administrators and custodians for accounting documentation.
• Prepare custodial reconciliations.
• Prepare 1099MISC and 1099LS.
• Prepare QuickBooks entries.
• Provide ad-hoc reports when requested.

An established and growing, owner‑managed leader in asset management seeks a Staff Accountant to join the Accounting team.

The position will report directly to the Controller of the Firm and will also work closely with the broader investment, technology and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Cash and custodial reconciliations
• Monthly/Quarterly NAV closing
• Preparation of annual Financial Statements
• Performing daily operation maintenance of the Investment Funds (capital calls, distributions and transactional payment and Fund related expenses)
• Assist internal teams on Fund deliverables
• Regularly interact with external accounting firms, fund administrators and custodians to provide accounting documentation
• Prepare custodial reconciliations
• 1099MISC and 1099LS preparation
• Prepare QuickBooks entries
• Provide ad‑hoc reports when requested

The Firm specializes in the management of alternative fixed‑income investments for sophisticated institutional investors, including pension plans, endowments and high net worth family offices. It is an SEC‑registered RIA.

The firm’s founders have been serving this clientele individually for over 30 years and as a team for more than 15 years.

The firm is based in New York City and employs 19 professionals in its head office.

The firm manages 5 active funds and will launch other funds in the near future.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years’ accounting experience in financial services industry. The candidate must be a team player and exceptional communicator to succeed in this collaborative, results‑driven company.

The successful candidate must also be detail‑oriented, energetic and organized; care about the quality of their work; enjoy multi‑tasking; and enjoy an entrepreneurial environment.

Required Skills
