Job summary

OST INC in McLean, VA is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and government contracting including FAR, CAS, and DCAA compliance.

Responsibilities include monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations, posting GL entries, supporting month-end close, audits (DCAA and financial statements), and maintaining accounting procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience with emphasis on reconciliations and GL accounting.
• Prior government contractor experience required, familiarity with FAR, CAS, and DCAA.
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, and advanced formulas.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in general ledger (GL) accounting, account reconciliations, and a solid understanding of government contracting, including cost principles and regulatory compliance (FAR, CAS, DCAA).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Prepare and post general ledger entries, accruals, and adjustments in accordance with GAAP.

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Experience with indirect rate structures and cost allocations.

This is a full time position paying a base salary of $65,000, full benefits, and has possible bonus potential based on merit and performance.
