Job summary

Canam Group Inc. is seeking a finance professional to prepare and analyze IFRS-based financial data and deliver timely reports. You will reconcile payroll, analyze sales tax, and support audits and the parent company’s reporting requirements.

The role emphasizes accuracy, process improvement, and collaboration with auditors and cross-functional teams. A B.S. in accounting and at least two years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years accounting experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good organizational skills to ensure timely reporting.

Job Description

Responsible for preparing and analyzing financial data to produce accurate and timely financial reports according to the principles of IFRS.

Essential Functions:

• Reconcile and record weekly payroll transactions and related month-end journal entries.
• Reconcile and analyze monthly sales tax activities to support compliance processes.
• Assist with submission of required financial reporting to the parent company.
• Participate in the improvement of assigned accounting processes and procedures.
• Assist with related audits and preparation of audit schedules and requests from auditors.
• Perform other job duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• B.S. Degree, or equivalent, from a four-year college or technical school
• Minimum of 2 years accounting experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Good organizational skills to ensure timely goal completion and accurate reporting

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of IFRS, applicable laws, and regulations
• Experience with Vertex
