Job summary

Hologic, Inc. seeks a Revenue Staff Accountant in Marlborough to join the Finance/Accounting team. You will focus on revenue recognition, analysis, and reporting, applying ASC 606 and GAAP principles to monthly close processes.

The role requires 1–3 years of accounting experience, a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, and strong Excel and ERP skills. This onsite position offers a base salary range and bonus eligibility, with 4 days/week onsite in Marlborough.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly revenue journal entries and reconciliations.
• Analyze and verify financial information for accurate revenue reporting.
• Assist with revenue recognition policies in line with GAAP and standards.
• Review customer contracts and identify revenue-related issues.
• Collaborate with sales and legal to ensure contract terms comply with accounting policies.
• Support month-end and year-end close with timely financial information.
• Assist with preparation of financial statements and reports highlighting revenue streams.
• Participate in development and implementation of internal controls related to revenue.
• Support audits by providing documentation and explanations related to revenue accounts.
• Maintain knowledge of accounting regulations and best practices in revenue accounting.
• Work on special projects and analyses as requested by management.

Job Summary:The Revenue Staff Accountant will play a critical role in the accounting department with a focus on revenue recognition, analysis, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and a thorough understanding of revenue accounting standards, such as ASC 606.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly revenue journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Analyze and verify financial information to ensure accurate revenue reporting.
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of revenue recognition policies in accordance with GAAP and other regulatory standards.
• Review customer contracts and identify revenue-related issues.
• Collaborate with the sales and legal departments to ensure that revenue-related terms in contracts are compliant with accounting policies.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes by providing timely and accurate financial information.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports, highlighting revenue streams and trends.

• Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to revenue accounts.

Onsite (in Marlborough office 4x/week)

The annualized base salary range for this role is $53,800 to $84,300 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
