Job summary

Sabre Systems, LLC is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance team in a hybrid role, providing a hands-on approach across multiple accounting functions within a federal government contracting environment. You will support accounts payable, accounts receivable and billing, payroll, month-end close, and GL reconciliations while contributing to internal controls and reporting.

This position offers growth toward senior accounting responsibilities and exposure to government

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of DoD accounting experience with federal regulations and supporting defense-related audits and reporting.
• 3+ years of Deltek Costpoint experience, including GL, billing modules, month-end close and reviewing financial activity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• U.S. citizen with ability to pass a background check.

• Payroll support and related administrative tasks.

Sabre Systems, LLC is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance team. This is a hands‑on role with exposure to multiple areas of accounting within a federal government contracting environment. Career Path

This position is designed with advancement in mind. Over time, the Staff Accountant will progress within the accounting and finance area, eventually assuming backup responsibilities for the Controller as an Assistant Controller.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of DoD accounting experience, applying federal financial regulations and supporting defense‑related audits and reporting.


• Minimum 3 experience with Deltek Costpoint, including hands‑on experience with General ledger, billing modules, supporting month‑end close and reviewing financial activity.


• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred; equivalent experience considered


• Candidate must be a US Citizen and will be required to pass a background check

Desired Skills

• Hands‑on billing experience within a government contracting environment, including preparing Costpoint invoices, understanding contract types, and reconciling billing data for accuracy (highly desirable)


• Familiarity with CAS, FAR, and GAAP principles


• CPA certification is not required, but is a plus

Compensation Statement

At Sabre Systems, LLC, compensation is based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, and contract‑specific requirements; however, final compensation will be determined by individual qualifications and applicable contract terms. The general salary range for this position is as follows $65,000.00 - $90,000.00
