Responsibilities

• Work with partners to ensure compliance with accounting policies and controls.
• Assist with month-end close by preparing journal entries, schedules, and variance analyses.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly for accurate reporting.
• Maintain accurate product costs and estimate rates.
• Track manufacturing variances and inventory movements for accuracy.
• Analyze cost records in a job cost environment.
• Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting for internal and external sources.
• Prepare documentation for external auditors.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and dependable Staff Accountant to join our accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Work with business partners, internal and external, to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls.
• Assisting with month-end close by preparing journal entries, creating schedules, and analyzing variances.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting.
• Maintaining accurate product costs and estimating rates.
• Track manufacturing variances and have a solid understanding of inventory movements and accuracy.
• Analyzing cost records in a job cost environment.
• Analyzing financial statements and understand where variances may exist.
• Assisting with monthly and quarterly reporting for internal and external sources.
• Preparing documentation for external auditors.
• Recommending ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar business field required.
• Manufacturing experience highly desired, but not required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively with little supervision required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Products, including Excel.
