NOW CFO is a Las Vegas-based real estate private equity firm seeking a Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations, including AP, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, eager to learn, and ready to grow within a collaborative, fast-paced accounting team.

This onsite role emphasizes accuracy and regulatory compliance within a multi-entity environment.

Formación

• Experience with multi-entity and intercompany accounting is required.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000

About the Role
NOW CFO is conducting a private search for a Staff Accountant to join a growing Real Estate Private Equity firm based in Las Vegas, NV. The Staff Accountant will support the daily accounting operations, including AP, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
The ideal candidate is detail oriented, willing to learn, and excited to grow within a collaborative, fast paced accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

General Accounting

• Prepare and record journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as part of the monthly close process.
• Maintain the general ledger for assigned entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Month-End and Year-End Close

• Perform account reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, intercompany balances, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Work closely with the Controller to ensure timely completion of month-end close.
• Analyze financial data for variances and assist with budget-to-actual reporting.

Accounts Payable & Receivable Support

• Review and process vendor invoices when needed, ensuring correct coding and approvals.
• Assist with payment processing, vendor reconciliations, and aging report reviews.
• Support accounts receivable functions, including posting payments and reconciling accounts.
• Maintain organized, complete, and up-to-date records in the accounting system.
• File and archive electronic and physical documents for invoices, payments, and vendor correspondence.

Audit & Compliance

• Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
• Participate in system upgrades or process change initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

• Multi-entity and intercompany accounting experience
• Experience with mortgage accounts
• Comfortable with AI tools (AI-focused firm)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Comfortable working fully onsite in Las Vegas, NV

Preferred

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Industry background in Private Equity, Real Estate, or Property Management.
• Comfort with AI tools and willingness to leverage new technology.
• Base salary: $100,000 to $110,000.
