Job summary

Functional Pathways in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Staff Accountant for an on-site role at our corporate headquarters. You will handle daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks including general ledger, intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

You will support the close process with journal entries and accruals; maintain fixed assets, depreciation schedules, accounts payable, 1099 vendor info, and card reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• Minimum of 1+ year of accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support the financial close process, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Perform intercompany transactions and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain the fixed asset ledger, depreciation schedules, and reconciliations.
• Process accounts payable invoices and weekly check runs accurately and on time.
• Manage 1099 vendor information and year-end reporting.
• Assist with corporate credit card reconciliation and business license tracking.
