Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Staff Accountant for a contract-to-hire role based out of Knoxville, TN. The candidate will handle reconciliations for cash, AR, chargebacks, bank, and GL accounts, and assist with month-end close and financial reporting.

Strong GAAP knowledge and Excel skills are essential for accurate analysis. The role requires 1+ year of accounting experience, with emphasis on AR/GL exposure, and office-based work in Knoxville.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 1+ year accounting experience preferred, AR and GL exposure ideal.
• Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.
• Strong GAAP understanding and SOX awareness.
• Intermediate Excel skills with pivot tables.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $32.70/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
