Chief of Staff Kc is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to gain hands-on experience across the full accounting cycle, including month-end close, reconciliations, and general ledger work. This role offers collaboration and growth as you take on increasing responsibility.

You’ll prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, assist with audits, and help improve processes and internal controls while supporting AP/AR and financial statements.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–3+ years of accounting experience (public or private).
• Solid understanding of GAAP and full accounting cycle.
• Experience with ERP/accounting software.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivots).
• CPA or CPA-track a plus, but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Perform monthly reconciliations: bank, balance sheet, intercompany.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Maintain the general ledger and accuracy of financial records.
• Support A/P and A/R as needed.
• Prepare financial statements and schedules.
• Assist with audit prep and provide docs to auditors.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and internal controls.
• Take on ad hoc projects for Controller and finance leadership.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments


• Perform monthly account reconciliations, including bank, balance sheet, and intercompany accounts


• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes


• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial records


• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed


• Help prepare financial statements and supporting schedules


• Assist with audit preparation and provide documentation to external auditors


• Identify opportunities to improve processes and internal controls


• Take on ad hoc projects and analysis for the Controller and finance leadership

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field


• 1–3+ years of accounting experience (public or private)


• Solid understanding of GAAP and the full accounting cycle


• Experience with ERP/accounting software


• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables)


• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills


• Ability to manage deadlines and work both independently and as part of a team


• CPA or CPA-track a plus, but not required
