Job summary

Neighborly, MRH Mr Handyman brand, is seeking an experienced accountant to support monthly close, financial reporting, and GAAP compliance. The role requires at least two years of accounting experience and a BA in Accounting, with a hybrid schedule in Irving, TX—Mon-Wed in the office, Thu-Fri from home.

You will work with ERP systems and Microsoft Office to prepare statements, reconcile accounts, and assist with audits, while contributing to the broader Neighborly network of home service brands.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of related accounting experience.
• Intermediate-level knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Working knowledge of ERP/financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly closing activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, accrual schedules, variance analysis & commentary, financial statements, and reporting.
• Ensure GAAP compliance with Company policies and procedures.
• Assist management with financial statements review.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly closing activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, accrual schedules, variance analysis & commentary, financial statements, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and Company policies and procedures.
• Assist management with financial statements review.
• Analyze financial information, reports (detailing income, expenses, assets, and liabilities), and prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement, statement of cash flows, and other reports.
• Review and record sales contracts.
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Understand and apply generally accepted accounting principles.
• Prepare commissions and bonuses for the approval process.
• Prepare schedules, test samples, footnotes, and related disclosures in support of the external audit.
• Use software such as Microsoft Suites (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams), Dynamics, Great Plains, SAP Concur, and Northridge Loan Management Software.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of recent related experience is required.
• Intermediate-level knowledge of the Microsoft suite (Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) is required.
• Working knowledge of ERP/financial system.

Education

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting required.

Schedule / in-office requirements

Hybrid working model; Monday-Wednesday in the office, Thursday/Friday from home.

Competitive Pay
