Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting experience.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and GAAP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end process including accruals and entries.
• Analyze general ledger for accuracy and compliance.
• Research issues with purchase orders, three-way match, costs, and job forecast.
• Maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate financial risks.
• Balance bank statements and support audits.
• Support annual audits and sales tax audits.
• Flexibility to work additional hours as needed.

The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset to help drive accuracy, efficiency, and informed decision-making.Come work for an industry leader that has been recognized both locally and nationally as one of the Top Places to Work!ResponsibilitiesAssist with month-end process, to include but not limited to calculating accruals, monthly entries, and correcting entries.Analyze general ledger to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and compliance.Research issues with purchase orders, three-way match, costs applied to service calls, and percentage of completion compared to job forecast.Collaborate to keep internal controls current to safeguard assets and mitigate financial risks, including compliance with GAAP.Balance bank statements.Collect data and documents to answer questions during annual audit and sales tax audit.Responsible for keeping information confidential.Flexibility to work additional hours, as needed.Other functions may be assigned.Skills RequiredMust be able to multi-task and keep up with deadlines.Proficiency in accounting software and tools, as well as a strong analytical and problem-solving skillset.Understanding and experience with sales and use tax for contractors is a plus.Experience in Excel with an emphasis on importing data, using formulas, and formatting.Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with vendors, managers, and co-workers.Experience with Great Plains and Epicor/Prophet21 is a plus.Must have a positive attitude and have the ability to work well in a large team.Education and/or Experience Required10+ years of accounting experience.Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting or Finance a plus.
