Accounting & Finance Recruiter at LHH Recruitment Solutions

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of GAAP and hands-on experience with the general ledger, journal entries, month-end close, and account reconciliations. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records and ensuring timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post accurate and timely journal entries in compliance with GAAP.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Participate in and help lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Analyze and manage Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, investigating and explaining variances.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts (e.g., cash, prepaid expenses, accruals).
• Support internal and external audit requests by providing appropriate documentation and analysis.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., FP&A, operations, and payroll) to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial data.
• Continuously identify areas for process improvement and efficiency in accounting operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and standard accounting principles.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
