Job summary

Connect Search LLC in Hillside, IL is seeking a Staff Accountant for a contract-to-hire position in a manufacturing environment. The role covers general ledger, month-end close, and cost accounting for manufacturing operations, with a mix of on-site and remote work.

You will prepare financial statements, analyze variances, and support accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, and inventory controls. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills and experience with manufacturing cost

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining general ledger and performing month-end close tasks.
• Familiarity with manufacturing cost accounting and inventory variances.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger accounts, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reporting.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and investigate variances, discrepancies, and unusual transactions.
• Manage and analyze manufacturing-related accounting activities, including inventory, cost accounting, standard costs, and production variances.
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accruals, and other accounting functions as needed.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, including labor, materials, overhead, and production expenses, to support financial reporting and business decisions.

Job Title: Staff Accountant
Pay: $30–35an hour (based on experience)
Contract to Hire
