Job summary

CFS in Garrettsville, OH is seeking a Staff Accountant to build expertise in both general accounting and manufacturing finance. You will work closely with accounting leadership and operations teams to develop your skills and own meaningful parts of month-end close, financial reporting, and inventory accounting.

You will gain exposure to cost accounting and manufacturing processes, partner with production teams to analyze costs, and help improve reporting processes using ERP systems and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports to ensure accuracy and policy compliance.
• Support inventory accounting, cycle count reviews, and inventory reconciliations.
• Assist with cost accounting activities, including product costing and variance analysis.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation accounting.
• Partner with operations and production teams to analyze manufacturing costs and improve reporting processes.
