Job summary

Cloud Coach is seeking a Staff Accountant to lead accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data in a fast-paced SaaS environment. You will report to the CFO and oversee month-end close, tax filings, and internal controls while partnering with cross-functional teams to support growth and compliance.

This role offers hybrid work in Fort Collins, CO or remote options, with opportunities to shape processes and automate workflows as the company scales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years accounting experience (internships included).
• Foundational understanding of GAAP.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, pivot tables, data organization).
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including month-end and year-end close processes, including all reconciliations.
• Prepare and file sales tax reports with oversight from senior leadership.
• Help maintain and develop internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices.
• Collaborate with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Manage tax compliance and filings, working with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure adherence to regulations.
• Manage financial audit by preparing audit reports with supporting schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Support revenue recognition processes in accordance with ASC 606.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance the efficiency of accounting operations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

The Role:

Cloud Coach is seeking a Staff Accountant to lead our accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, while supporting the company’s growth initiatives. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing accounting processes, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls in a fast-paced SaaS environment. How You’ll Make an Impact:

As the Staff Accountant, you will play an important role in supporting Cloud Coach’s financial health and operational efficiency.
