Job summary

Joyce Meyer Ministries is seeking an experienced Finance professional to support the mission of Share Christ - Love People by completing bank reconciliations and journal entries for month-end and year-end reporting. The position involves preparing and recording journal entries with Salesforce, performing bank reconciliations, and assisting in the creation and analysis of budgets.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, and 2-3 years

Qualifications

• 2-3 years relevant experience required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Operating Environment: Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Knowledge of Salesforce or similar accounting systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record journal entries in Salesforce.
• Perform bank reconciliations for ministry accounts.
• Prepare allocations for journal entry use and reconcile petty cash.
• Produce and analyze required reports timely.
• Assist with the maintenance and analysis of budgets.
• Communicate updates to Controller.
• Assist finance department with general ledger account coding.

This role supports the mission to Share Christ – Love People by ensuring timely completion of bank reconciliations and journal entries for month-end and year-end reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record journal entries in Salesforce with appropriate detail backup


• Perform bank reconciliations for Joyce Meyer Ministries and Hope Mountain Ranch accounts


• Prepare allocations for journal entry use and reconcile petty cash


• Produce and analyze required reports timely: may include Trial Balance, Financial Statements, Flux Analysis, various reports and other ad-hoc reporting requirements


• Assist with creation, maintenance, and analysis of JMM budgets


• Assist management: preparation for mileage booklets, annual audit, writing procedures, and complete special projects


• Assist with fixed assets: additions, disposals, depreciation, year-end reports & yearly inventory tracking


• Communicate relevant updates to Controller


• Assist the Finance Department with general ledger account coding, estate planning recordkeeping, and Salesforce functions


• Maintain personal knowledge base of current United States accounting standards

Qualifications

• 2-3 years relevant experience


• Knowledge of Microsoft Office operating environment: Excel, Word, Outlook


• Knowledge of Salesforce or Accounting Seed accounting system software or similar programs preferred


• Ability to work within all levels of the organization


• Ability to work quickly under pressure
