Job summary

Loloi Rugs in Dallas, TX is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day financial operations, including AP/AR oversight, month-end close, and ledger maintenance. The role emphasizes accuracy, compliance with GAAP, and timely reporting within a growing, family-owned company.

You will leverage Excel and Microsoft Office to prepare reconciliations, assist with audits, and help maintain strong internal controls across finance functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration (preferred).
• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Understanding of financial statements and components.
• Experience with manual reconciliations and journal entries.
• Strong attention to detail, highly organized, with confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Assist day-to-day banking operations and maintain Excel-based reports.
• Reconcile bank statements and support Month-end close process.
• Prepare general ledger entries and record transactions.
• Analyze procedures and recommend best-practice accounting processes.
• Code and reconcile credit card transactions with invoices/receipts.
• Prepare documents for audits and other financial duties as needed.
• Maintain accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
• Ensure internal controls for A/P and A/R are followed.
• Prepare and file sales & property tax as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Loloi Rugs is seeking a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team. The Staff Accountant would ideally have experience in Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable, oversight of accounting processes, maintaining records of transactions, creating a digital organization system, ensuring applicable taxes are paid or applied, and ensuring transactions are properly reconciled to the accounting system for record.

As a critical member of the finance team, the Staff Accountant will have responsibility for ensuring day-to-day transactions are proper and accounted for to close the month-end process.

This role is based onsite 5 days a week (M-F) at our Dallas, TX headquarters.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day banking operations updating in excel, reports
• Reconcile bank statements and assist with Month-end close process
• Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining and recording records of transactions
• Analyze current procedures and recommend changes to develop and implement best practice accounting procedures
• Credit card coding and reconciliation with invoices/receipts
• Prepare documents for audits other financial-related duties as needed
• Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
• Ensures organization's internal controls are adhered to for A/P and A/R
• Prepare and file sales & property tax as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Experience and Education

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration – Preferred
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Thorough knowledge of Financial Statements and their components
• Experience with manual reconciliations and journal entries
• Strong attention to detail, highly organized, strict confidentiality
• Excellent use of Microsoft Office products
