Job summary

Archtop Fiber is seeking a detail‑oriented accountant to maintain financial records, reconcile ledgers, and prepare key statements for the Hudson Valley region. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting and 1–3 years of experience, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. The position involves processing invoices, supporting budgeting and audits, and coordinating with vendors to ensure accurate financial status

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain financial records to ensure transactions are properly recorded.
• Ensure ledger entries are accurate and reconcile subsidiary ledgers to general ledger.
• Compile data to support balance sheets and P&L statements.
• Analyze costs, revenues, and obligations to predict future finances.
• Process invoices and track financial status of projects.
• Liase with vendors to ensure prompt communication and good standing.
• Assist with revenue processes, audits, budgeting, tax returns, and regulatory reporting.
• Perform other accounting tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Maintain financial records to ensure that transactions are properly recorded
• Ensure accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconcile subsidiary ledger accounts to general ledger
• Compile financial data to support the finance team in the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other key reporting
• Assist in analyzing current costs, revenue, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses
• Process invoices including receiving and tracking the financial status of ongoing projects
• Laise with vendors to ensure prompt and accurate communication and retain good standing for the company
• Assist with revenue process, audits, budgeting processes, tax returns, and other regulatory reporting, as required by law
• Perform other accounting related tasks as assigned
