Qualifications

• 2-4 years of accounting experience in restaurant, hospitality, or multi-unit retail.
• Experience with accounting software is essential.
• Strong focus on detail and organization needed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Ability to manage multiple locations and deadlines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Reconcile daily sales reports and POS systems.
• Assist operations managers with financial reporting.
• Assist operations managers with financial reporting questions.
• Review/code invoices and ensure proper expense allocation.
• Prepare and file city/state monthly sales tax returns.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation.
• Ensure deadlines are met for timely financial reporting.

We are looking for a Staff Accountant who will support the accounting operations of a multi-unit hospitality restaurant group. Reporting to the Controller, this role will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain general ledger integrity, support month-end close, and assist with operational accounting across multiple restaurant locations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume hospitality environment and has strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts

• Review and analyze location-level P&Ls for accuracy and variances
• Assist operations managers with financial reporting questions
• Review/code invoices and ensure proper expense allocation

• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation
• Ensure deadlines are met for timely financial reporting

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 2-4 years of accounting experience (restaurant, hospitality, or multi-unit retail preferred)
• Experience with accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks Online, Restaurant365, NetSuite, Sage, etc.)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple locations and deadlines simultaneously
