Job summary

BHS Corrugated North America in Charlotte, NC is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing Accounting team. You will support month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This hybrid role (three days in the office, two remote) offers collaboration across departments and exposure to SAP, ADP, and Excel. We prefer 1–3 years of accounting experience and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience, including general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
• Experience with SAP and ADP is a plus.
• Manufacturing or multi-entity accounting experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines, work independently, and collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for month-end close.
• Manage prepaid expenses, amortization schedules, and monthly accruals.
• Maintain fixed-asset records, depreciation schedules, and construction in progress (CIP) accounting.
• Post payroll journal entries from ADP and reconcile payroll accounts.
• Assist with financial reporting, account analysis, and identifying discrepancies.
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and intercompany accounting as needed.
• Assist with internal and external audits and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
• Partner with the Tax Manager on tax-related reporting and compliance activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies.

What You'll Do
