Job summary

Latitude Inc is seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join our team in Broomall, onsite. You will work closely with leadership, including the Controller and CFO, and contribute to financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance.

Responsibilities include preparing statements, applying GAAP, managing the general ledger, tax registrations, and ad-hoc analyses. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles.
• Proficiency with accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of job costing concepts (preferred).
• Understanding of relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Ability to handle sensitive financial data with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Apply GAAP principles to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Manage general ledger, depreciation, and amortization schedules.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations; resolve discrepancies.

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This role is fully onsite and offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership, including the Controller and CFO, on a variety of accounting and financial functions. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting compliance, and ensuring the overall integrity of the organization's financial data.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting

• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Apply GAAP principles to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Manage adjusting entries, depreciation, and amortization schedules.
• General Ledger Management
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.

Reconciliations

• Perform bank and account reconciliations regularly.
• Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Compliance & Controls

• Manage state permits and sales tax registrations.
• Assist with filing monthly sales tax returns.
• Stay current on changes in accounting and tax laws.

Additional Responsibilities

• Prepare commission schedules for the sales team.
• Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as needed.
• Assist with periodic physical inventory checks and adjustments.
• Generate ad-hoc reports and provide financial analysis as requested.
